From primary to acute care services, child/adolescent psychiatry to rehabilitation, behavioral health to pediatric endocrinology, wellness and community services, the concept of Wheeling Hospital Center for Pediatrics is to provide a medical "home" for the region's children. The center features the only area team of more than 200 professionals, including nine pediatricians, providing pediatric services around the clock.
Wheeling Hospital is the region’s premier surgical center with the most experienced surgeons. Last year, they performed nearly 17,000 surgeries. That’s three times more than any other local hospital.
Because Wheeling Hospital is the area’s leader in advanced laparoscopic surgery, our patients are afforded procedures that are less invasive, less painful and faster to heal. We also perform extremely complex orthopedic procedures and are the sole provider of certain surgeries, such as open-heart, TAVR, and robotics.
From the region’s largest trail system, to national schools of excellence, to a reorganized municipal government, the City of Wheeling offers a dynamic environment for you and your family.
There are many features that are unique to this area and we are proud of them! The area boasts year-round entertainment, leisure, sports, music, festivals, dining, shopping, and much more.
From our nationally ranked schools to award-winning hospitals, Wheeling is an exceptional place to raise a family. There are a plethora of year-round recreational activities including golf, boating, water sports, snow skiing, biking, hiking, tennis, skateboarding, swimming, and many more. Year-round entertainment is another amazing feature of the city including local, regional, and national concert series, festivals, pro sporting events, or try your luck with all of your favorite slots and table games.
