The Ohio County Commission is now accepting applications for full time and part time West Virginia Certified Paramedics for its Emergency Medical Services. Emergency Medical Technicians will also be considered.
The Commission is offering competitive salary and benefits. The initial work schedule will be twelve-hour shifts from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. The paramedic candidate must have a current West Virginia Paramedic Certification with current ALS, PALS, and ITLS or PHTLS Certification. Emergency Medical Technicians must have a current West Virginia EMT and CPR Certification. All candidates must have current annual Hazardous Materials Awareness and Mass Casualty Incident training.
All candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid West Virginia driver's license. The candidate must pass a background check, in person interview, physical examination and agility test. Previous experience, Haz. Mats. Operations, and West Virginia Firefighter 1 will be considered.
